MEANWHILE, UNDER THE BOAT…I thought the wreck was scenery. The bass thought it was his living room. We had a brief but spirited disagreement about the silver lure.
Meet the underwater landlord
GusYOUR STORYTELLEROrange hat. Purple shirt. A boat that makes three different noises, none of them reassuring. That’s me. I live in an imagined Big Bass Bonanza lakeside town where every quiet evening has the potential to become a story nobody believes at breakfast. I build lures from whatever is nearby and measure success by how much I have to explain when I get home.
“It was definitely bigger than the sandwich. And that was a serious sandwich.”
01One orange float, a suspicious spinner and a latch that only works when nobody is watching.
02Every great expedition starts with coffee, a paper napkin and a wildly optimistic estimate of the weather.
Gus is a fictional game-world narrator. The illustrations and stories are created for this journal, including the implausibly large sandwiches.
It is an illustrated collection of short stories, presented like a comic magazine. There are no spins, wagering controls or playable casino mechanics.
Its colourful fishing-adventure mood is the inspiration for Gus’s world. This independent journal is not an official release or promotion from the publisher.
The hat is dry, the boat still floats, and there is always another story that needs a slightly better explanation.
